Establishes a voluntary registry of individuals with autism, Alzheimer's or dementia who may be at risk of wandering away from home; creates a standardized form available that may be submitted to local law enforcement agencies by family members and caregivers of such individuals that would include identifying information and may include a photograph of the registrant.
Permits the sale of state lands to municipal corporations either without consideration or for such consideration and upon terms approved by the commissioner of general services without a public auction.
Requires that if a member of the legislature shall move their residence out of the senate or assembly district they were elected to serve during the time for which he or she was elected, he or she shall immediately vacate his or her seat in the legislature.
Provides for the notification of surviving family of homicide victims of the availability of victim support services programs by the office of victim services.
Prohibits a public officer or member of the legislature from have a building or space named after himself or herself while he or she holds public office based on the fact that such person was responsible for securing public funds for the person or entity involved in naming the building or for securing public funds for the person's or entity's cause or agenda.
Establishes the "division of research and analysis" which is a part of the legislative library and assists members of the legislature by providing research and analysis on policy.
Requires all new residential and commercial construction that has dedicated off-street parking to implement electric vehicle supply equipment infrastructure in conformance with the requirements of the current edition of the national electrical code.
Directs the division of criminal justice services to establish a statewide public database covering every local police department, each county sheriff's office, the division of the state police and every agency that employs a peace officer in this state, which shall compile the names of any police or peace officer who has had his or her employment terminated due to misconduct.
Establishes the office of racial equity and social justice to act as the official state planning and coordinating office for changes in policy, practice and allocation of state resources so that race or social justice constructs do not predict an individual's success, while also improving opportunities and outcomes for all people, and performing all necessary and appropriate services required to fulfill these duties.
Requires a state agency to get approval from the senate and the assembly prior to adopting or readopting a rule on an emergency basis unless such rule is necessary on an emergency basis for the preservation of the public health, safety and general welfare of the public.
