Adopts the psychology interjurisdictional compact to increase public access to psychological services by allowing telepsychological practice and temporary in-person services across state lines.
Directs the board of trustees of the state university of New York to examine and conduct a study on the creation of an equity-centered honors college for the state university of New York college at Geneseo; requires a report on the findings of such study to be submitted within 180 days of the effective date.
Updates the admission criteria for the science and technology entry program and collegiate science and technology entry program to consider whether a student is a member of an ethnic group that is underrepresented in the eligible profession they are pursuing.
Authorizes SUNY trustees to lease the historic windmill on the Stonybrook campus to the town of Southampton for the purpose of rehabilitating and restoring such windmill; provides that such lease shall be executed within five years of the effective date of this act; makes related provisions.
Relates to the educational and examination requirements for certification as a certified interior designer; provides an exemption from the education requirements for architects licensed under article one hundred forty-seven of the education law.
Establishes duties for pharmacies when pharmacists employed by such pharmacy refuse to fill prescriptions on the basis of personal beliefs; requires a pharmacy to ensure the prescription is filled by another pharmacist; requires the pharmacy to inform individuals of items not in stock; requires such items to be ordered by another pharmacist without delay; sets forth penalty provisions.
Relates to reporting requirements of SUNY and CUNY; relates to financial information and identifying vendor information of each contract; relates to a list of all foundation and state university employees by campus, department and location including salaries, job titles and descriptions.
Provides assistance for SUNY and CUNY students experiencing homelessness; designates liaison officers on campuses; creates systems for students experiencing homelessness to access support services and other resources available to the students.
Allows the higher education services corporation to consider an applicant's change in income due to the loss of employment in determining eligibility and award amount for the tuition assistance program; provides for the repeal of such provisions on December 31, 2024.
Requires the boards of trustees of SUNY and CUNY to adopt policies requiring institutions thereof to grant course credit to students who serve as election inspectors, poll clerks, or election coordinators.
