Authorizes the village clerk/treasurer and the deputy clerk for the village of Cold Spring, Putnam county, to reside outside such village, but within the county in which such village is located or an adjoining county.
Excludes cigarettes on hand prior to September 1, 2023 from the tax increase where a cigarette tax stamp has been affixed as of the close of business on August 31, 2023.
Permits an eligible retirement system member to receive, in lieu of an ordinary death benefit, a death benefit such member would otherwise be entitled to receive provided such member is a state-paid judge or justice of the unified court system or a housing judge of the civil court of the city of New York.
Provides that a member of a public retirement system of the state who is a disabled veteran may retire without reduction of their retirement benefit upon their attainment of at least fifty-five years of age and completion of at least thirteen years of credited service in such retirement system.
Requires all state and private agencies with mandatory reporters of incidents involving vulnerable people to retrain all staff on reporting to a 9-1-1 operator and the county district attorney's office and state and private websites; requires written materials to be updated.
Authorizes the assessor of Richmond county to grant the Silver Lake Foundation Inc. retroactive real property tax exempt status upon an application therefor.
Permits payments from the New York state medical indemnity fund for adult day programs, sheltered workshops and care coordination services for persons who sustained birth-related neurological injuries as the result of medical malpractice.
Relates to adult-use cannabis advertising and marketing; requires advertisements only be placed where seventy-five percent of the audience is reasonably expected to be twenty-one years of age or older, as determined by commercially available reliable, up-to-date audience composition data; provides that all requirements for warnings to be included in audio only advertisements shall not exceed more than fifteen percent of an advertisement's total time.
Establishes the jury duty mileage reimbursement tax credit; allows a juror a credit equal to their reasonable mileage allowance owed for each mile actually and necessarily traveled by such juror who utilizes their personal vehicle in the fulfillment of their jury duty.
