Creates a temporary state commission to study and investigate issues affecting reentry of women released from correctional facilities; provides for the repeal of such provisions.
Requires schools report certain threats and acts of violence to the federal bureau of investigation, the state police, and the office of mental health.
Requires all state agencies to require all contractors that provide services for state purposes pursuant to a contract, submit an annual employment report with the job titles and number of employees necessary to perform such contract; further provides that such information be submitted electronically in order for such information to be searchable and transferable to a spreadsheet or database.
Prohibits the knowing sale of xylazine to persons under the age of 21 and without proof of the intended use for institutional, veterinary, or scientific purposes.
Requires that the state university of New York's board of trustees shall adopt a policy requiring all state university of New York, city university of New York, college, and community college campuses that offer membership programs to the general public for the use of fitness and aquatic facilities, to permit disabled veterans to obtain a membership for the use of fitness and aquatic facilities upon the same terms and conditions as apply to the general public, but without payment of any fees or other charges; defines "disabled veteran".
Provides additional benefits for certain county correction officers in Suffolk county; provides benefits to retirement system members with credited service of thirty years.
Adds services delivered, to individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury, through a facility licensed under article twenty-eight of the public health law, to the requirement that telehealth services be reimbursed at the applicable in person rates or fees regardless of the location of the patient or the clinician.
Directs the commissioner of health to authorize additional reimbursement to providers of health and dental care primarily serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for uncompensated time, use of staff, and services that are necessary to support treatment of a patient as a result of the patient's physical, intellectual, or developmental disability.
Allows members of a public retirement system who retired prior to applying for credit for military service because such credit was not available at the time of their retirement to receive such credit if they apply prior to December 31, 2024.
