Establishes a public safety youth explorer program grants fund for the purposes of covering non-payroll expenses associated with hosting youth explorer programs which provide youths with an opportunity to experience working in a public safety field on a part-time temporary basis to get a sense on whether they would like to pursue it as a career.
Establishes the infill housing pilot program in the city of Buffalo which shall provide capital subsidies for the purpose of building two thousand one- to two- family housing units.
Exempts certain other than for-profit community gardens from payment for water usage and supply; exempts non-profit community gardens located on property in the city of New York and licensed by or registered with such city's department of parks and recreation from payment for water usage and supply.
Authorizes Frank Lyburd III, Brian McNamara, Peter J. Jacobs, Roman S. Wilinski, Alex U. Chenche and Tara Tandy, police officers in the town of Southold, county of Suffolk, to receive certain service credit under section 384-d of the retirement and social security law.
Enacts the "New York State pedestrian right-of-way protection act" which makes it an unclassified misdemeanor to stop, stand or park a vehicle in a pedestrian right-of-way.
Requires that patients be presented the opportunity to register to make an anatomical gift in the "donate life registry" for organ, eye and tissue donations during health care visits.
Enacts the college student suicide prevention act to provide for policies, guidelines and training opportunities to effectively and appropriately prevent student suicide, intervene in crisis situations, and support college communities in postvention.
Requires vehicle rental agreements instruct renters to remove personal information before returning the vehicle; permits rental vehicles to have decals informing the renter to remove such information when returning the vehicle.
Relates to the definition of overtime ceiling for members who first become members of a public retirement system of the state on or after April first, two thousand twelve.
