BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2011, Section 3 -107, is amended to read as follows: Section 3-107. The State Superintendent of Public Instruction is hereby authorized to administer oaths. Upon proper request, the State Superintendent shall advise school di strict superintendents and technology center school district superintendents on questions as to the powers, duties and functions of school district officials , and each two (2) years shall cause to be compiled, published and distributed to boards of educati on and other public officials as deemed necessary the school laws in force. The State Superintenden t shall have control of and direct the State Department of Education and shall perform any other duties pertaining to the public school system as shall be prescribed by law or the State Board of Education. The State Superintendent may affiliate with the N ational Council of Chief State School Officers and any other national and state organizations as will be of service and benefit to the public school system of Oklahoma, and dues or assessments for membership therein shall be payable from any appropriation that is available for the payment of current operative expenses of the State Department of Education.
