HOUSE BILL 1801 By: Miller
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to higher education; granting
priority enrollment and registration to active duty
military members and certain eligible students;
providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3249 of Title 70, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
All institutions within The Oklahoma State System of Higher
Education shall grant priority enrollment and course registration to
students who are act ive duty members of the uniformed military
services of the United States and to students who are eligible to
receive educational financial assistance from the United States
Department of Veterans Affairs.
SECTION 2. This act shall become e ffective November 1, 2021.
