AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to schools; authorizing the Council 
on Law Enforcement Education and Training to offer 
certain training; limiting informa tion that may be 
released; defining term; providing for codification; 
and providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3311.19 of Title 70, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training may 
offer training that instructs a peace officer how to alert a school 
district or charter school when a student enrolled at the school 
district or charter school has been identified at the scene of a 
traumatic event or an event that involved a response from an 
emergency 9-1-1 service.  The peace officer may only release the 
name and birth date of the student directly to the school district 
or charter school and state that the student was present at the

scene of a traumatic event or an event that involved a response from 
an emergency 9-1-1 service. 
B.  As used in subsection A of th is section, "student" means a 
minor child or a person who has reached eighteen (18) years of age 
and continues to be enrolled in school. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
