BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 17-151 of Title 26, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. Effective November 1, 2022, the term of office for each member of the United States House of Representatives and the term of office for each member of the United States Senate representing the State of Oklahoma in the United States Congress shall be limited to a total of twelve (12) years. B. The limit prescribed by subsection A of this section shall be the cumulative total period of service in both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. Req. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to any period of time that a person is elected to fill a vacancy in either the United States House of Representatives or the United States Senate.
