An Act relating to schools; authorizing school 
district to offer law enforcement elective course to 
juniors and seniors; listing certain information to 
be included in course; permitting State Board of 
Education to coordinate wi th the Council on Law 
Enforcement Education and Training; authorizing Board 
to promulgate rules; providing for codification; and 
providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 11-103.15 of Title 70, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  A school district may offer to students in grades eleven and 
twelve an elective course in law enforcement. 
B.  The law enforcement elective course shall include, at a 
minimum: 
1.  A general introduction to law enforcement training; 
2.  Critical skills and entry requirements for law enforcement 
professionals; and

3.  Career opportunities in law enforcement. 
C.  The State Board of Education may coordinate with the Council 
on Law Enforcement Education and Trai ning to develop instructional 
materials and curricula for schools to use in the law enforcement 
elective course.  The Board may promulgate rules to implement the 
provisions of this section. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective Novemb er 1, 2022.
