[ crimes and punishments - creating the Judge Timothy 
R. Henderson Act - making certain acts unlawful -

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW    A new section of law not to be 
codified in the Oklahoma Statute s reads as follows: 
This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Judge Timothy 
R. Henderson Act". 
SECTION 2.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 593 of Title 21, unless there is 
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  It shall be unlawful for a judge of any court in this state 
to engage in a sexual relationship with a lawyer who is: 
1.  Representing a client in a civil or criminal action or 
proceeding; or

2.  Prosecuting a criminal case on behalf of the state or 
municipality, 
then pending or about to be brought before the same judge.  A judge 
who violates the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, 
be guilty of a felony p unishable by imprisonment in the c ustody of 
the Department of Corrections for a term of not more than two (2) 
years, or a fine of not less than Five T housand Dollars ($5,00 0.00) 
and not to exceed One Hundred Th ousand Dollars ($100,000.00), or by 
both such fine and imprison ment. 
B.  As used in this section, "sexual relationship" means an 
established course of sexua l relations. 
SECTION 3.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
