AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to career and technology education; 
allowing the State Board of Career and Technology 
Education to establish certain courses in hydrogen 
energy; allowing the Board to consult the Oklahoma 
Department of Commerce in establishing courses; 
providing for codification; providing an effective 
date; and declaring an emergency . 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 14-136 of Title 70, unless there 
is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows: 
A.  The State Board of Career and Techno logy Education may 
establish courses in the area of hydrogen energy.  The courses may 
include but are not limited to the following topics: 
1.  Hydrogen energy basics; 
2.  Hydrogen energy-related equipment manufacturing and 
maintenance; 
3.  Hydrogen energy infrastructure; and 
4.  Hydrogen energy safety.

B.  The State Board of Career and Technology Education may 
consult the Oklahoma Department of Commerce in establishing courses 
that meet the workforce needs of the hydrogen energy sector in this 
state. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 2022. 
SECTION 3.  It being immediately necessary for the preservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is her eby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
