BILL NO. 1224 By: Garvin of the Senate
and
Boles of the House
An Act relating to special maintenance projects;
amending 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1510, which relates to
financing and performing and carrying out special
maintenance projects; raising certain special
maintenance projects caps; and declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Sec tion 1510, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 1510. Special maintenance projects under Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) One Million Dollars ( $1,000,000.00)
may be performed and carr ied out by state special maintenance crews,
who may also carry out pro jects above said amount, if in the
judgment of the Transportation Commission the same shall be in the
best interests of the State of Oklahoma, except that special
maintenance projects in volving asphaltic material overlay may be let
to contract if the same shall be in the best interests of the state
in the judgment of the Commission.
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, healt h or safety, an emergency is hereby

declared to exist, by reason whereo f this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage an d approval.
