SENATE BILL 1231 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Oklahoma National Guard;
authorizing the Governor to send Nationa l Guard for
certain purpose; providing for codific ation; and
declaring an emergency .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes a s Section 229.1 of Title 44, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
The Governor is authorized to order the National Guard, or any
part thereof, beyond the borders of the state for the purpose of
participating in the security of the United States border .
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, h ealth or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage a nd approval.
