AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to public health; requiring c ertain 
persons to provide education on infant 
cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic first aid to 
individuals who are pregnant or planning to become 
pregnant; providing for codification; and providing 
an effective date. 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of la w to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-233.1 of Title 63, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
All persons licensed t o practice medicine and surgery in this 
state, or who are Advanced Registered Practice Nurses including but 
not limited to Certified Nurse -Midwives, and who provide prenatal, 
delivery, infant care services , and other child or adult health 
services related to maternal and infant care shall provid e education 
related to infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic first aid 
to individuals who report to such person that they are pregnant or 
planning to become pregn ant. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
