AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to hunting; amending 29 O.S. 2021,
Section 5-213, which relates to cros sbows and
longbows as a legal means of take ; authorizing the
use of airbows as a legal means of take; and
providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 29 O.S . 2021, Section 5-213, is
amended to read as follo ws:
Section 5-213. A. The use of crossbows and conventional
longbows with a devi ce that permits the bow to be held mechanically
at full or partial draw, shall be a legal hunting method du ring any
open season when conventional longbows are a legal means o f take.
B. The use of airbows that use a pneumatic device to propel an
arrow shall be a legal hunting method durin g any open season when
conventional longbows are a legal means of take.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
