NEW LAW A new section of law to be co dified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 35 of Title 72, unless there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows: A. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a fund for the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Aff airs to be designated the “K-I-A Reinterment Fund”. The fund balance shall not exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) and shall consist of: 1. All monies apportioned or allocated to the fund pursuant to law; 2. Any amounts appropriated by the Legislature to the fund; and 3. Gifts, grants, and other donations received for the fund . B. Expenditures from the fund shall be made upon warrants issued by the State Treas urer against claims filed a s prescribed by law with the Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services for approval and payment. C. The Director of the Department of Vetera ns Affairs shall establish the application procedure and the criteria for awarding financial assistance. D. All applications for reinter ment shall be approved by the Oklahoma Veterans Commission. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2022. SECTION 3. It being immediately neces sary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason wh ereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and appro val.
