SENATE BILL 1822 By: Floyd

AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to public finance; stating

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 34.701 of Title 62, unless there
is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
A. The Legislature finds that the Works Projects Administration
(WPA) was instrumental in the development of the United State s of
America. Projects completed by the WPA improved the infrastr ucture
and culture of those cities for decades , allowing the United Sta tes
to thrive after World War II and continue to stand the test of time
today. Upon the completion of each project, a plaque was mounted in
plain view to let the public know the project was constructed for
the people of that community. It is the intent of the Legislature
to do the same, with all infrastructure or construction projects in
this state that are funded partially or fully by the American Rescue
