AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to prevention and control of disease; 
prohibiting compulsory immunization by state entity 
or political subdivision; prohibiting penalties; 
providing for codification; and declaring an 
emergency. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.    NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-502.5 of Title 63, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
Notwithstanding any other p rovision of law, no state entity or 
political subdivision of this state shall, through direct or 
indirect means, compel or coerce any person under its jurisdiction 
to receive any immunization.  No person shall be punished through 
any means including, but not limited to, a monetary fine, for such 
person’s refusal to receive any immunizati on. As used in this 
section, “political subdivision” means a county, city, town, school 
district or other local governmental or public entity located within 
this state.

SECTION 2.  It being immediately necess ary for the preservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
