An Act relating to pharmacists; requiring insurers to 
compensate a pharmacist for providing certain 
healthcare services; providing fo r codification; and 
providing an effective date. 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3436.6 of Title 36, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
An insurer, as defined in Section 3634.2 of Title 36 of the 
Oklahoma Statutes, shall provide direct payment or reimbursement to 
a pharmacist licensed in this state for providing a health care 
service to an individual if: 
1.  The pharmacist provided any health care service he or she is 
licensed to perform in the practice of pharmacy, as defined in 
Section 353.1 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes, in this state; 
and 
2.  The health benefit policy, contr act or agreement of the 
individual provides for payment or reimbursement of the service. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
