SENATE BILL 576 By: Boren
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to absentee ballots; amending 26 O.S.
2011, Section 14-133, which relates to notification
of rejection; requiring opportunity to cure certain
defective application or affidavit; requiring
Secretary of State Election Board to promulgate
certain rules and procedures; and providing an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 14 -133, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 14-133. A. In the event a voter’s application or
affidavit is rejected for any reason, the secreta ry of the county
election board shall immediately n otify said the voter in writing of
the rejection and the reason therefor for the rejection.
B. A voter receiving notice as described in subsection A of
this section shall be given the opportunity to cure the defective
application or affidavit pursuant to rules and procedures
promulgated by the Secretary of the State Election Board .

SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
