SENATE BILL 584 By: Dahm
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to abortion; prohibiting certain use
of state funds or funds of politica l subdivision;
construing section; providing for codification;
providing an effective date ; and declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-747.6 of Title 63, unless
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no state funds
or funds of a political subdivision shall be made availa ble to
Planned Parenthood Federation of America, or to any of its
affiliates, subsidiaries, successors or clinics.
B. Nothing in this section shall be construed to:
1. Affect any limitation contained in an appropriations act
relating to abortion; or
2. Reduce overall state , county or municipal funding available
in support of women’s health.

SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2021.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
