AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to law enforcement officers; 
prohibiting certain disclosure of personal 
information of law enforcement officers; providing 
penalties; providing definitions; providing for 
codification; and providing an effe ctive date. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW    A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1176 of Title 21, unless there 
is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows: 
A.  It shall be unlawful for a person, who by telephonic or 
electronic communication, as defin ed in Section 1172 of Title 21 of 
the Oklahoma Statutes, to willfully publish on a public online s ite 
or forum, attempt to publish or cons pire to publish person ally 
identifiable information o f a law enforcement offi cer with the 
intent to threaten, intimida te, harass or stalk, and as a result, 
causes, attempts to cause or would be reasonably expected to cause 
substantial emotional distress or financ ial loss to that person, or 
to that officer's family or household member or intimate part ner.

B.  Except as provided in subsection C o f this act, any person 
convicted of the provisions of subsection A of thi s section shall be 
guilty of a misdemeanor. 
C. Any person who is convicted of a second or subsequent 
offense pursuant to this section shall be guilty of a felo ny. 
D.  As used in subsection A of this act: 
1. "Personally identifiable information " shall include, but not 
be limited to: 
a. name, 
b. birth date, 
c. address, 
d. telephone number, 
e. driver license number, 
f. Social Security number, 
g. place of employment, 
h. mother's maiden name, or 
i. a photograph or any other realistic likeness; 
2.  "Family or household member" shall mean parents, including 
grandparents, stepparents, adoptive parents and foster parents; 
children, including grandchildren, step children, adopted children 
and foster children; and persons oth erwise related by blood or 
marriage living in the same ho usehold; and 
3. "Law enforcement officer" shall mean any officer, agent or 
employee of a state, unit of local gove rnment, or an Indian tribe

authorized by law or by a government agency to engage in or 
supervise the prevention, detection or investigation of any 
violation of criminal law . 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
