AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to civil procedure; amending 12 O.S.
2021, Section 134, which relates to venue; adding
limited liability companies; and pr oviding an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 12 O.S. 2021, Section 134, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 134. An action, other than one of those mention ed in
the first three sections of this article, against a limited
liability company or corporation created by the laws of this state ,
may be brought in the county in which it is situated, or has its
principal office or place of business, or in which any of the
members or principal officers thereof may reside, or be summoned, or
in the county where the cau se of action or some part thereof arose,
or in any county where a codefendant of such limited liability
company or corporation created by the laws of this state may
properly be sued.

SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
