AUTHOR:  Add the following House coauthors:  Schreiber, Martinez, 
Fugate, Provenzano, Menz, Deck, Roe, West (Tammy), Baker, 
and Swope 
 
 
 
AMENDMENT NO. 1.  Page 1, Line 19 1/2, insert the following 
language: 
 
 
"1.  This section does not include ab ortion, as defined in 
Section 1-730 of this title; 
2.  Abortion shall not include U.S. Food and Drug 
Administration-approved hormonal birth control, emergency 
contraceptives used to prevent pregnancy after sexual intercourse , 
or long-acting reversible cont raceptives." 
and amend title to conform

An Act relating to abortion; providing certai n 
construction; providing for codification; and 
declaring an emergency. 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-730.1 of Title 63, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
The laws of this state pertaining to abortion shall not be 
construed to in any way prohibit, restrict, limit, or otherwise 
affect the provision of contraceptive drugs, surgeries, or other 
treatments by a duly authorized healthcare provider in acc ordance 
with the laws of this state. 
SECTION 2.  It being immediately necessary for the pr eservation 
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby 
declared to exist, by reason whereof this a ct shall take effect and 
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
