An Act relating to professions and occupations; 
making certain practitioners eligible for 
reimbursement; requiring certain contract; providing 
conditions for reimbursement; providing for 
codification; and providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOP LE OF THE STATE OF OKL AHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1362.2 of Title 59, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  Services provided by practitioners who h ave completed 
education requirements to begin an i nternship or a postdoctoral 
fellowship in an accredited clinical psychology academic training 
program and are under current board approved supervision toward 
licensure are eligible for reimbursement.

B.  For those licensure candidates who are actively and 
regularly receiving board approved supervision, or extended 
supervision by a fully licensed clinician i f board's supervision 
requirement is met but the individual is not yet licensed. 
C.  In order for services provided by clinical psychology 
interns completing required internships, postdoctoral fellows 
completing required supervision for licensure to be reimbursed, the 
following conditions must be met: 
1.  The licensed practitioner must have a supervision agreement 
letter from the Oklahoma State Board of Ex aminers of Psychologist on 
file covering the dates of s ervices of the internship or 
postdoctoral fellowship; 
2.  The psychology intern or post doctoral fellow must be under 
the direct supervision of the lice nsed psychologist responsible for 
the member's care; 
3.  The licensed psychologist responsible for th e member's care 
must: 
a. staff the member's cas e with the intern or fellow, 
b. actively direct the services , 
c. be available to the i ntern or postdoctoral fellow for 
consultation while he or she is providing services, 
d. agree with the current plan for the me mber, and 
e. confirm that the service provided by the intern or 
fellow was appropriate; and

4.  The member's medical record must s how that the requireme nts 
for reimbursement were met and the licensed ps ychologist responsible 
for the member's care has rev iewed, countersigned, and dated the 
notes in the medical record at least every week so that it is 
documented that the licensed psych ologist is responsible for the 
member's care. 
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
