Environmental Quality; making an app ropriation;
identifying the source; est ablishing an amount;
providing purpose; providing for noncodification;
providing an effective da te; and declaring an
emergency.
SUBJECT: Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOM A:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law no t to be
codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
There is hereby appropriated to the Oklahoma Department of
Environmental Quality from any monies not otherwise appropriated
from the Progressing Rural Economic Prosperity Fund of the State
Treasury created in Section 256 of Title 62 of the Oklahoma Statutes
Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,0 00.00) or so much thereof as may be
necessary to construct needed water system improvements for a water
system located west of State Highway 94 and east of State Highway
95.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2024.
SECTION 3. It being immediately nece ssary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reaso n whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approv al. ENR. H. B. NO. 2889 Page 2
