BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statu tes as Section 2501 of Title 62, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. Except as otherwise provided by this section, no state revenues, whether derived from taxes, fees, assessments or any other source or means shall be used knowingly to provide benefits of any kind to a person who is not authorized pursuant to federal immigration law to be present in a state or in the United States . B. The provisions of this section and the restrictions on the use of state revenues shall also be applicable to the use of state revenues by any political subdivision of the state or by any other legal entity that knowingly provides state funds, state funded assistance, state funded support or state funded sanctuary status to a person or persons not lawfully present in the state or not lawfully present in the United States pursuant to the provisions of federal immigration law. C. The provisions of this section shall not restrict the ability of a person or entity to provide emergency medical services to a person if the se rvices are required to be provi ded pursuant to federal law. SECTION 2. This act shall becom e effective July 1, 2024. SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force fro m and after its passage and approval.
