BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -132, is amended to read as follows: Section 14-132. A. The State Board of Career and Technology Education is hereby authorized and directed to enter into agreements and to contract for the provision of adult education, assessment and other services for courses leading to a high school equivalency diploma. B. The Department of Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education shall retain share the responsibility for issuing diplomas to t hose who successfully complete a high school equivalency test, pursuant to criteria established by the State Board of Education. C. The State Board of Career and Technology Education is hereby authorized to outline the eligibility criteria and requirement s for individuals twenty-one (21) years of age and older seeking to obtain a high school equivalency diploma based on their work experience and educational attainment .
