AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to cancer screening; requiring 
insurance coverage for certain cancer screening; 
providing coverage for certain members; specifying 
terms of coverage; providing for codifica tion; and 
providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF T HE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6060.8b of Title 36, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Fighting Chance 
for Firefighters Act ". 
SECTION 2.     NEW LAW     A new section of law t o be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6060.8c of Title 36, unless 
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
A.  A plan offered by the Employees Group Insurance Division of 
the Office of Management and Enterprise Services, that is offered, 
issued, or renewed in this state on or after the effective date of 
this act, which provides medical and surgical benefits, shall

provide coverage for annual comprehensive cancer screenings for 
lung, prostate, testicular, skin, colon, and breast cancer. 
Coverage shall be offered to all members , as defined in Section 
49-100.1 of Title 11 in the Oklahoma Statutes , including volunteers, 
of fire departments as defined in: 
1.  Title 11 of the Oklahoma Stat utes; 
2.  Title 18 of the Oklahoma Statute s; and 
3.  Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes. 
B.  Coverage under this section shall not be subject to any 
annual deductible, copay ments, or coinsurance limits as established 
for all covered benefits under the health benefit plan. 
SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
