AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to prisons and reformatories;
creating the Oklahoma Department of Corrections
Prison Rodeo Revolving Fund; making revolving fund
continuing and not subject to fiscal year
limitations; stating purpose of revolving fund;
making expenditures subject to warrants; making an
appropriation; stating amount and purpose of
appropriation; providing for codification; providing
for noncodification; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Secti on 559.1 of Title 57, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
There is hereby created in the St ate Treasury a revolving fund
for the Oklahoma Dep artment of Corrections to be designated the
"Oklahoma Department of Correctio ns Prison Rodeo Revolving Fund".
The fund shall be a continuing fun d, not subject to fiscal year
limitations, and shall consist of a ll monies directed for deposit by
law. All monies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby
appropriated and may be used for the purpose of restoring,

rehabilitating, and expanding the prison rodeo arena of the Oklahoma
Department of Correct ions. Expenditures from said fund shall be
made upon warrants issued by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections
and approved by the Offi ce of Management and Enterprise S ervices.
SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
There is hereby appropriated to the Oklah oma Department of
Corrections from any monies not otherwise appropriated from the
General Revenue Fund of the State Treasury, the sum of Eight Million
Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($8,300,000.00), or so much thereof
as may be necessary for site improvements, construction, repairs,
upgrades, and rehabilitation of the prison rodeo arena of the
Oklahoma Department of Corrections in order to be nefit Oklahoma
inmates and citizens alike by creating prison program opportunities
and by attracting large -scale, national economic activity to the
State of Oklahoma.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
