SENATE BILL 1356 By: Matthews
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Oklahoma Historical Society;
making an appropriation; stating purpose; providing
an effective date; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Oklahoma
Historical Society from any monies not otherwise appropriated from
the General Revenue Fund of the State Treasury for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 2025, the sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,500,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary to be
deposited in the Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail Revolving Fund created
pursuant to Section 503 of Title 53 o f the Oklahoma Statu tes to
administer the Oklahoma Civil Rights Trail Grant Program created
pursuant to Section 502 of Title 53 of the Oklahoma Statu tes.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2024.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approv al.
