SENATE BILL 1495 By: Thompson (Roger)
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to taxpayer information; requiring
the Oklahoma Tax Commission to develop a website
tool; specifying the information to be provided;
specifying the procedure for o btaining the taxpayer
information; authorizing the Commission to contract
with an entity for development of the tool; providing
for codification; and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 121 of Title 68, unless there is
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. On or before January 1, 2026, t he Oklahoma Tax Commission
shall publish on its website a tool that provides taxpayer
information. The taxpayer shall be able to ob tain information on
how the taxes paid by the taxpayer are utilized by this state, the
county, and, if applicable, the municipality in which the taxpayer
resides.
B. The taxpayer shall be able to obt ain the information
provided in subsection A of this section by entering the zip code of

the taxpayer’s residence and the taxpayer’s total income earned in
the most recent tax year.
C. The Commission may contract with a business entity to
develop the website tool.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
