An Act relating to the Department of Human Services; 
amending 10 O.S. 2021, Section 1412, which relates to 
advisory committee on service delivery for persons 
with developmental disabilities; removing obsolete 
language; removing certain membership requirement; 
and providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     AMENDATORY     10 O.S. 2021, Secti on 1412, is 
amended to read as follows: 
Section 1412.  A.  The Director of Human Services , who shall not 
be removed from office, except for cause, subj ect to the approval of 
the Commission for Human Services, shall appoint an advisory 
committee to advise t he Commission and Director on matters relating 
to service delivery for persons with developmental disabilities. 
B.  Such advisory committee shall inclu de among its members 
representatives of state agencies and persons representative of 
professional, civic, or other public or nonprofit private agencies,

organizations, or groups concerned with services needed by persons 
with developmental disabilities , including the parent-guardian 
association of the Northern Oklahoma Resource Center of Enid, the 
Southern Oklahoma Resource Center of Pauls Valley , and families of 
individuals receiving services from the Developmental Disabilities 
Services Division of the Depa rtment of Human Services. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
