BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3-316 of Title 29, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. The Department of Wildlife Conservation shall produce an elk population study to be presented electronically to the Legislature and the Governor on or before a year following the effective d ate of this act. B. The study shall be used to det ermine Oklahoma’s elk population in southeastern Oklahoma. The study may incorporate information available in other sources, such as studies produced by Req. The Department may also enter into agreements with other agencies, organizations operating in this state, or tribal governments to assist with the production of this study. C. The study may include recommendations by the Department for the conservation of Oklahoma elk populat ions. SECTION 2.
