AS INTRODUCED 
 
An Act relating to militia; requiring Military 
Department of the State of Oklahoma to eliminate 
certain office; prohibiting certain acts b y the 
Department; requiring certain transfer of personnel; 
defining term; providing for codification; and 
providing an effective date . 
 
 
 
 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: 
SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new sectio n of law to be codified 
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 21.2 of Title 44, unless there 
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: 
On or before the effective date of th is act, the Military 
Department of the State of Oklahoma shall eliminat e its Diversity, 
Equity and Inclusion Office , and thereafter shall not reestablish 
such office or conduct any affirmative hiring or special emphasis 
programs. All personnel assigned to the Office shall be transferred 
to other divisions of the Department.  As used in this section, 
“special emphasis program ” means an employment-related program which 
focuses special attention on specific groups based on ethnicity,

sex, gender, or similar criteria in an effort to achieve affirmative 
employment goals. 
SECTION 2.  This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
