BILL NO. 234 By: Bergstrom of the Senate

Steagall of the House
An Act relating to holidays; designating Veteran
Suicide Awareness Day; providing for codification;
and providing an effect ive date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statute s as Section 90.26 of Title 25, unless there
is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
September 22 of each year is hereby designated as “Veteran
Suicide Awareness Day”, to bring awareness to the twenty-two
veterans who end their li ves every day.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective September 1, 2023.
