BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of la w to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5-149.4 of Title 70, unless there is created a duplication i n numbering, reads as follows: A. Each public school district shall have and implement a school security alert and response system. B. The State Board of Education shall adopt a list of approved school security alert and response systems. Automatically alert designated school personnel when an emergency response is initiated on-site by smartphone application, phone call, text message, or other technology; 2. Provide emergency responders with floor plans, cal ler location and other information to assist emergency responders during a 911 call; and 3. Integrate designated school personnel with emergency responders to provide real -time situational updates during an emergency. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023. SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preser vation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
