BILL NO. 607 By: Rader of the Senate
and
Kendrix of the House
An Act relating to the Oklahoma Tax Commission;
amending 68 O.S. 2021, Section 114, which relates to
membership fees for Commission members or employees;
authorizing Commission to pay certain organizational
dues and continuing education costs; making language
gender neutral; and providing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF TH E STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 68 O.S. 2021, Section 114, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 114. The Oklahoma Tax Commission ma y expend monies to
pay membership fees for Commission members or employees of the
Commission in applicable regional or national tax associations, dues
for membership in professional organizations, and registration costs
related to virtual or in -person continuing education to comply with
mandatory annual hour requirements for Commission membe rs or
employees of the Commission who are certified publi c accountants or
licensed attorneys as the Commission deem s in the best interest of
this state for education and training in tax administration,
practices, and procedures, and any other fees required to be paid by
an employee in the performance of his or her official duties.

SECTION 2. This act shall be come effective November 1, 2023.
