AMENDMENT NO. 1. Strike the title, enacting clause, and entire bill
and insert:
"An Act relating to memorial highways and bridges;
designating The Honorable Secretary Gary M. Ridley
Memorial Interchange ; providing for codification;
providing an effective date; and declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A n ew section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sectio n 1698.406 of Title 69, unless
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

The interchange of Interstate 35 and State Highway 51 in Payne
County shall be designated as “The Honorable Secretary Gary M.
Ridley Memorial Interchange ”. The Department of Transportation
shall cause suitable markers bearing that nam e to be placed on the
interchange.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval."
