AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to fish and wildlife; requiring the
Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission to
establish a division to study solutions for invasive
species; providing for p romulgation of rules;
providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3-316 of Title 29, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. In order to combat and slow the spread of invasive species
in this state, the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall
establish a division within the Department of Wildlife Conservation
for the study and implem entation of solutions to protect Oklahoma’s
wildlife habitats.
B. The Department shall promulgate rules pursuant to the
Administrative Procedures Act to develop this division. Such rules
may include, but not be limited to, the hiring of new employees,

expansions of existing duties, and establishing new programs within
the Department.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2 023.
