AS INTRODUCED 
 
A Concurrent Resolution proclaiming Christ is King; 
recognizing the spiritua l heritage of Oklahoma; and 
directing distribution. 
 
 
 
 
 
WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma has a rich history rooted in 
faith, resilience, and a commitment to values that uplift its 
people; and 
WHEREAS, the acknowledgment of spiritual heritage has long been 
a cornerstone of the cultural identity of Oklahomans, reflecting the 
beliefs and convicti ons of many of its citizens; and 
WHEREAS, the phrase "Christ the King" represents a declaration 
of faith for millions of Oklahomans and Christians worldwide, 
symbolizing the sovereignty of Jesus Christ as a source of hope, 
unity, and moral guidance; and

WHEREAS, the Oklahoma State Legislature seeks to affirm the 
freedom of its citizens to express their deeply held beliefs, 
including freedom of speech without fear of punishment or 
retribution, recognizing the importance of religious liberty as 
enshrined in both the United States Constitution and the Oklahoma 
Constitution; and 
WHEREAS, this proclamation serves as an expression of gratitude 
for the blessings bestowed upon the State of Oklahoma and as a 
recognition of the enduring influence of Christian faith in the 
lives of its people. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 
OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING THEREIN: 
THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature hereby proclaims "Christ is 
King", recognizing the spiritual significance of this declaration to 
many of its citizens and honoring the role of faith in the history 
and culture of Oklahoma. 
THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature expresses that this 
resolution is not intended to establish any religion or infringe 
upon the rights of any individual, but rather to celebrate the 
voluntary expression of belief that has shaped communities across 
the state. 
THAT copies of this resolution be distributed to the Governor of 
Oklahoma and the President Pro Tempore of th e Oklahoma State Senate,
