A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to challenges faced by hospitals in discharging patients with complex needs to post-acute care settings; and prescribing an effective date. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropri- ated to the Long Term Care Ombudsman, for the biennium ending June 30, 2025, out of the General Fund, the amount of $904,102, for distribution to the Oregon Public Guardian and Conservator for the provision of services to patients with complex needs who are being dis- charged from hospitals to post-acute care settings. SECTION 2.Section 1 of this 2024 Act becomes operative on July 1, 2024. SECTION 3.This 2024 Act takes effect on the 91st day after the date on which the 2024 regular session of the Eighty-second Legislative Assembly adjourns sine die.
