Delete lines 4 through 8 of the printed bill and insert:
“SECTION 1. The Department of Corrections:
“(1) Shall provide medical care to adults in custody for pre-existing conditions.
“(2) May not consider the remaining duration of incarceration for an adult in custody in
determining medical care for the adult in custody.
“(3) Shall document in the medical file of an adult in custody the specific reasons for any
denial or refusal of medical care.
“(4) Shall provide adults in custody access to, at a minimum, prescriptions listed on the
formulary adopted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in effect on June 1,
2025.”.
