Digest: Tells the state agency that deals with consumers and business to do a study about more
affordable housing. Tells the department to report the results of the study to legislators on a com-
mittee that deals with housing. Lets the department suggest new laws. Gets rid of the bill at the end

Requires the Department of Consumer and Business Services to study affordable housing. Di-
rects the department to submit findings to the interim committees of the Legislative Assembly re-

A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to affordable housing.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.	The Department of Consumer and Business Services shall study affordable
housing. The department shall submit a report in the manner provided by ORS 192.245, and
may include recommendations for legislation, to the interim committees of the Legislative
Assembly related to housing no later than September 15, 2026.
SECTION 2.	Section 1 of this 2025 Act is repealed on January 2, 2027.
