Recognizing the significant impact and legacy of Cecil Corbin-Mark in the environmental justice community and further recognizing that climate change most severely impacts vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in the United States and around the world, and that it is the responsibility of the United States Government to work with its global partners to promote environmental justice.
This resolution supports the establishment of a national day of recognition to honor Juan Pablo Duarte, the founding father of the Dominican Republic, and urges the people of the United States to observe a national day of recognition for Dominican Americans.
Recognizing the contributions of the Charles B. Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program, the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program, the William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship, and the Donald M. Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship Program to advance America's national security, development, and diplomacy efforts.
Supporting the designation of April 10 as "Dolores Huerta Day", in honor of the accomplishments and legacy of the trailblazing labor and civil rights leader Dolores Huerta.
This resolution recognizes the necessity and work of those who create LGBTQIA+ community spaces with the goals of equality and commends those who foster community partnerships between marginalized groups and local resources.
