Establishes a revolving fund to assist first-time home buyers and veterans to purchase a home in Rhode Island by issuing grants of up to forty thousand dollars ($40,000).
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CRANSTON TO ISSUE NOT TO EXCEED $40,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, NOTES AND OTHER EVIDENCES OF INDEBTEDNESS TO FINANCE THE PURCHASE AND/OR ACQUISITION OF LAND AND BUILDINGS, CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION, IMPROVEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, LANDSCAPING, FURNISHING AND/OR EQUIPPING OF SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL FACILITIES THROUGHOUT THE CITY, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF STATE HOUSING AID AT A REIMBURSEMENT RATE OR STATE SHARE RATIO OF NOT LESS THAN 50% AT THE TIME OF ISSUANCE
Eliminates the gross earning tax for every corporation whose principal business is manufacturing, selling, distributing and/or transmitting current of electricity and natural gas to be used for light, heat, or motive power.
Changes the requirements of quarterly meetings of the board to monthly meetings. The chairperson of the board would be the commissioner or acting commissioner of the office of energy resources.
Provides for remote participation in open public meetings of the long-term care coordinating council and would provide that a quorum of the council consists of 12 members.
Permits licensed healthcare facilities to suspend visits of those person who are verbally or physically berating staff or providing non-prescribed or illegal medications to any patient. Suspensions would be lifted in cases of end of life scenarios.
Requires the DOH and the EOHHS to collaborate with community health centers to establish new programs designed to attract federal funds, with a focus on the utilization of Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education programs.
Permits assaulted healthcare employee to have option of having home address, place of employment, voter roll information and any information related to any labor organization, impounded from public records.
Specifically adds healthcare employees to those persons eligible under the criminal injuries compensation statute if they are assaulted during the course of their employment.
Permits Dyslexia Advocacy Rhode Island plates to be issued for passenger or commercial vehicles upon the satisfaction of the required criteria relative to the number of plates ordered.
