Relates to claims for unjust conviction and imprisonment and the availability of certain benefits and entitlements to exonerees; allows for sealing of records, payment of awards and payment of attorney's fees; repeals certain provisions relating thereto.
Requires employers of retail, food service or cleaning employees to give such employees 7 days' notice of their work schedule and a month's notice of the minimum hours of work; provides a private right of action to employees who are aggrieved by certain violations of such provisions.
Enacts "Isabella's law" to require all health insurance policies and medical assistance to provide insurance coverage for the cost of medically necessary hearing aids for children under the age of 16.
Requires that a billing statement delivered to the customer by an energy services company include a side-by-side comparison showing both the price charged by the energy service company for commodity and delivery service during the prior billing period, and the price the customer would have paid had they taken commodity and delivery service from their local utility corporation or municipality; requires an energy service company to provide each of its customers with an annual statement comparing the price charged by the energy service company for commodity and delivery services and other energy-related value-added products over the prior twelve-month period with the price such customer would have paid had they taken commodity and delivery service from their local utility corporation or municipality.
Prohibits fees for any service rendered through a banking organization relating to the use of an electronic benefit transfer card issued by the state or certain departments or agencies thereof.
Provides that for settlements that require a court order, the order, or the judgment in a special proceeding, shall provide for the payment of interest on the settlement amount at the statutory interest rate on judgments.
Provides that the state liquor authority may, with the consent of the applicant, include certain terms and conditions as part of various licenses for on-premises consumption of beer and liquor for the purpose of assuring that the licensed premises are operated in accordance with law and consistent with the public interest; provides that prior to including terms and conditions in a license, the authority shall consult with the applicant and any party entitled to receive notice of the application; provides that the terms and conditions shall be legally enforceable in the same manner as applicable provisions of this chapter or regulations of the authority.
Provides the New York power authority with the right of first offer and refusal for acquiring any renewable generation facility, renewable energy generation project and any power or energy created by a renewable generation facility or renewable energy generation project.
Establishes a program for eligible zero emissions energy systems to promote private sector investment for the purpose of meeting the target that by the year two thousand forty the statewide electrical demand system will be zero emissions.
