Enacts the consumer protection and automotive transparency act mandating transparency in automotive labeling relating to materials used in automobiles.
Requires that transportation network companies provide TNC drivers with notices upon deactivation or suspension, explaining the cause of such deactivation or suspension and the steps by which such driver may remedy such deactivation or suspension.
Enacts the "cannabis oversight and official engagement act"; requires the office of cannabis management to notify appropriate elected officials of applications for adult-use retail dispensaries in their legislative districts; requires the office to consider any responses from such elected officials in determining an application for an adult-use retail dispensary license; requires such communications to be made public.
Allows school principals in the city of New York to hire coaches who are not also teachers, provided that such coaches meet the qualifications set forth by relevant athletic organizations.
Enacts the pro-banking act to mandate acceptance of the New York city identity card as a primary form of identification at all covered entities, including all banking organizations, foreign banking corporations, and interstate branches.
Relates to licensing restrictions for manufacturers and wholesalers of alcoholic beverages on licensees who sell at retail for on-premises consumption; provides an exemption for 10 Cipriani restaurants; provides for the repeal of certain provisions upon expiration thereof.
Provides for the revocation of licenses to sell cigarettes, tobacco products, alcohol and lottery tickets for the possession or sale of illicit cannabis in violation of the cannabis law.
Requires out-of-state affordable housing owners to maintain an escrow account for the purpose of financing utility costs, property tax obligations, fire services, and regular maintenance costs for affordable housing rental units located in New York state.
Authorizes the investigation of fraudulent activities with regard to individuals operating motor vehicles without insurance; increases the civil penalty for forging insurance documents; creates the crime of offering a false application for motor vehicle insurance or registration.
Designates unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree as a class E felony; designates unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the second degree as a class D violent felony offense; designates unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the first degree as a class B violent felony offense.
