Requires full family service restroom facilities in public buildings to permit a caregiver to attend to the sanitary and hygienic needs of any person affected by any combination of physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
Removes library taxes of the Shelter Rock library district from real property located in that portion of such library district that is located within the Bryant library district.
Authorizes the county of Nassau assessor to accept an application for a real property tax exemption from Lubavitch of Old Westbury for all of the 2022-2023 school taxes and all of the 2023 general taxes.
Authorizes the assessor of Nassau county to grant the World Restoration Center Inc. retroactive real property tax exempt status upon an application therefor.
Prohibits any person, corporation, association, or other entity from slaughtering a horse where such person, corporation, association, or other entity knows or has reason to know that such horse will be used for human or animal consumption; prohibits any person, corporation, association, or other entity from possessing, selling, importing, etc,, a horse or horseflesh if such person, corporation, association, or other entity knows or should have known that any part of such horse or horseflesh will be used for human or animal consumption; provides penalties for violation.
Updates provisions relating to dignity for all students including establishing the student suicide prevention act which includes curriculum and teacher training requirements designed to prevent student suicide with a focus on LGBTQ students; makes an appropriation therefor.
Enacts the "packaging reduction and recycling infrastructure act" to require companies selling, offering for sale, or distributing packaging materials and products to register with a packaging reduction organization to develop a packaging reduction and recycling plan.
Relates to requiring the use of project labor agreements for large scale construction projects under the state university construction fund; provides an exception to such requirement may be granted; provides that the fund may require every contractor become party to a project labor agreement.
Enacts the "roadway excavation quality assurance act"; relates to workers on excavations; provides that utility companies or their contractors shall use competent workers and shall pay the prevailing wage on projects where a permit to use, excavate, or open a street is required to be issued.
